Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas New Baby Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

I have recently made two New Baby cards for a client of mine. They were both personalised with the name of the baby, date of birth and weight and height. I used the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp set and matching punch, I just love being able to use a Christmas stamp set all the year round.

I also used the Falling Petals Embossing folder as I think it looks like hearts falling down the page rather than leaves. I stamped the envelope on the flap with a Teddy Bear and sponged the edges of the envelope too.

This is the inside of the card.

Do you need a personalised card or something a little bit more special than shop bought cards, if you do then drop me an email.

Stampin' Up! Tranquil Tulips Birthday Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

I have been sending lots of birthday cards this month, someone turning 60 and a special crafting friend who turned 70 as well as eight other people who celebrated their birthday this month.

My birthday was back in August and I received a beautiful card from Donna Willows, a fellow Pootler, using the Tranquil Tulips stamp set. I decided to case this card for my October birthday cards. I have made it in various different colourways and just love each of them.

Tranquil Tulips, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Birthday card

Although I must admit to perhaps liking this purple one a little more than the others, not sure why that should be!

Tranquil Tulips, Perfect Plum, Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder

I usually steer away from two step stamping but this stamp set is so easy and very forgiving, I just love the watercolour effect.

Tranquil Tulips, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Emerald Envy

What do you think?

Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Rose Red, Old Olive, Tranquil Tulips

Which is your favourite colourway?

Don't forget to keep clicking the buttons below so you can see all the other beautiful creations that my fellow Pootlers have made.

Stampin' Up! Boys Toys card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

The Theme for the Great Card Swap for August was Boys Toys. This really stumped me, not having children or grandchildren so I went for the easy option of Lego!

Here's the card I made

Boys birthday card, Lego card

All I can say is thank goodness for the new mini Stampin' Dimensionals - it would have taken me much longer if I'd had to cut the standard Stampin' Dimensionals to fit!

Lego card, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Dapper Denim

I do love taking part in these challenges, they really make you think outside of the box.

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree Retiform Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for October 2017. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting Jillian Selwood from the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list.

This month our theme is Inspired by nature. I worked in the Falkland Islands for 14 months years ago and it was so strange to live somewhere with absolutely no trees.  When I came home I really noticed them and I realised how much I had taken them for granted before. Now I love watching the buds appearing in the Spring and equally love watching the leaves turn colour in the Autumn. Isn't nature amazing?

Lovely as a Tree Retiform card

Anyway I digress, I've wanted to make a Retiform card for a while so this seemed the perfect opportunity. What is Retiform I hear you ask? Well the official Definition of retiform is crossing lines and interstices, reticular, netlike.

Life is a beautiful thing, Trees, leaves

I used the gorgeous Stamp Set Lovely as a tree and managed to use all the stamps in the set so that was a bonus as well. The sentiment comes from the Colourful Seasons stamp set.

Lemon Lime Twist, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach

For the inks I used Lemon Lime Twist, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Basic Black Archival.

Autumn Card, Trees, Leaves

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss so make sure you carry on hopping through the list. Remember that currently you are at my blog Jillian Selwood so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next.

Stampin' Up! Botanical Blooms easel card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Our challenge for the August Card Swap Challenge group was to make a card with a summer wreath, it had to have depth so not just stamping! This was the perfect excuse for me to get out the Botanical Blooms dies again. This is the card I made.

Easel Card, Climbing Orchid Stamp Set, Summer Wreath card

I was really pleased with how it turned out, I do love an easel card, I just think they look stunning. I used the Wood Textured DSP Stack to give an impression of a wreath hanging on a wooden door. I used Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Real Red cardstock for the flowers. The sentiment comes from the Climbing Orchid Stamp Set.

This is the card when it is closed

And here is a close up of the gorgeous flowers

This is the beautiful card I received from Michelle. Isn't it stunning? I will definitely be casing this one.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Hedgehog card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

It's World Card Day on 7th October so to celebrate I've offering all my followers a chance to receive a hand made card.

Painted Harvest Hedgehog card

This Hedgehog card is one of the cards I will be giving away.

I have seen quite a few people using this stamp set to make a Hedgehog card so it's a little difficult to credit just one person. The first YouTube video I watched was by Serene Stamper you can watch her tutorial here.

I love the fern leaf and as it is a two step stamp you can use a variety of different colours to make each leaf look completely different, a bit like nature really.

Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake

Don't you just love this little face?

Cute Hedgehog card using Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest stamp set

So to be in with a chance of receiving one of my hand made cards please just email me at Jillian@purpleselwood.co.uk and I will draw four lucky people. Please response by Saturday 14th October.

Painted Harvest Stamp Set, A Little Wild stamp set, Foxy Friends Stamp set
