Stampin' Up! Colourful Seasons Masculine Gift card wallet

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

The lovely Dee Copus-Read of  LadyDeeCrafts designed our sketch this month. She also requested that it should be a masculine gift card wallet. What a great challenge Dee, thanks very much. Here's the sketch we had to work from:

Masculine cards are always so difficult to make and given a choice I would always opt to make a feminine card. I knew I wanted to use Blues for my card and ended up going with Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Marina Mist with some Very Vanilla for the sentiment and on the inside.

I decided to use the 'skeleton' leaf stamp from The Colourful Seasons Stamp Set and stamped all over the Pacific Point layer with Night of Navy ink and in the centre of the card using Pacific Point ink. I then used the same stamp on the Marina Mist card using Pacific Point ink.

The sentiment comes from the Guy Greetings Stamp Set and I stamped that in Night of Navy. It looked a little bare so I stamped the leaf stamp in Marina Mist Ink, stamped off once.

I cut my Night of Navy cardstock to 6" x 10" and scored on the long side at 4" and 8". The extra 2" formed my pocket. Here's what the card looks like inside.

I stamped the leaves again on the Very Vanilla cardstock with the Happy Birthday Sentiment leaving plenty of space to write a message.

To finish off I used a piece of Marina Mist which was stamped with the Leaf Stamp. I used Tear and Tape to adhere the sides of the flap to the card.

It is also deep enough to put some money in it as well.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest Fancy Fold Birthday Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for September 2017. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting Jillian Selwood from the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Holiday Catalogue Favourites.

When I first saw the Painted Harvest Stamp Set I didn't really like it, the main reason was it is a two step stamp set and I'm not that good with two step stamping! Having watched lots of Tutorials on You Tube it did look very easy to use so I decided to buy it.

I am so glad that I did, it is absolutely stunning and so easy to do. Here's the first card I've made - Warning I think there will be plenty more to come!

Painted Harvest Fancy Fold Birthday Card

Yes it is a sunflower and yes they should be yellow but doesn't it look stunning in Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum?  I also used Old Olive for the leaves.

It opens up the wrong way, like this

There is plenty of room inside to write a lovely message even with the sentiment and the flower in the bottom right hand corner.

This is what it looks like standing up so even though the front does open up it still stands nicely.

A finally a view from the top.

Stampin' Up! Seasonal Chums Tea Light Box

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to the Pootles Blog hop celebrating the new Autumn / Winter Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

Seasonal Chums Stamp Set, Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies

I love gifting tea lights, they are the perfect small gift for saying Thank You. I always make a box to put them in, but I guess that's not a surprise! Usually I wrap a belly band around the box and decorate that but when I saw the Seasonal Chums gift tags in the new Autumn / Winter catalogue I knew they would be a perfect addition for my little boxes.

Snowman Gift Tag using the Seasonal Chums bundle

I started off with a piece of  Thick Whisper White cardstock and I stamped the front of the snowman on it randomly. I decided not to colour in these snowmen as I thought it would make the tag stand out more. I used the fabulous Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon to tie around my box and attached the Snowman tag with Basic Black Bakers Twine. You can just see on the photo below the shimmer.

Isn't the Snowman so cute - shame about my colouring in, I think I need some stronger glasses!

Stampin' Up! Falling Flowers Stepper Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Happy Birthday Thinlet Die, Colour Theory DSP Stack

In August I took part in the Crafty Cupcakes Stampin' Showcase Challenge. The theme was Birthdays and I decided to make a stepper card. I cased this card from Mixed up Craft and you can see her YouTube video here.

I love the fact that the front is so simple and it is only when you open up the card that you see the surprise - are you ready for the big reveal!

The side view is even more stunning.

Stepper Card, Colourful Season Stamp Set, Flirty Flamingo, Powder Pink, Melon Mambo

I loved making this card and have ideas of others I can make, so watch this space!

Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy New Baby Spinner Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

In July I joined a new Card Challenge Group through my lovely friend Christine Bettany. This is not a Stampin' Up! group so we are free to use whatever supplies we have.

The Theme for August was making a New baby card that either moved in some way or had a special fold.

Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, New Baby Card, Spinner Card, Sliding Star Framelits

I do love making spinner cards so this was the first thing that I thought of making. I used the new Bundle of Love Speciality Designer Series Paper for the layer and a base of Very Vanilla cardstock.

This Little Piggy Stamp Set, Peek-a-boo to someone new, Suite Sayings Stamp Set

I stamped the elephant in Basic Black archival ink and looking at the card now I think I should have stamped it in something softer. The sentiment 'Peek-a-boo to someone new' comes from the now retired Suite Sayings stamp set.

Christine was my swap partner for this challenge and I love the card she made me. You can visit Christine's blog here
