March Card Swap

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Our card swap theme for March was Girl birthday using punch art.

Sweetheart Punch, Pansy Punch, Pink Pirouette cardstock

I found the inspiration for this card on Pinterest, many thanks to Studio Evans for the fabulous graphics on how to make the ballerina.

I used three different punches; The sweetheart punch for the bodice and tutu, The pansy punch for the tulle underskirt and the elegant butterfly punch for the ballet shoes, don't they look exactly like ballet shoes, what a genius idea.

Elegant Butterfly Punch, Falling in Love DSP

For the inside I used the same DSP (Designer Series Paper) as the front.

Ballong Adventures stamp set, Softly Falling Embossing folder

This is the beautiful card I received from Sam Bretherick. It is absolutely gorgeous and I love it so much I may have to case it.

The theme for April is Football - gulp!

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

The lovely Heidi Smith designed our sketch this month and here it is:

Last April was the first time I had taken part in this blog hop and I used the retiring In Colours 2014 - 2016 for my card so I decided I would do exactly the same with this card using the retiring In Colours from 2015 - 2017, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.

Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, 2015-2017 In Colours

I used the In Colour paper stack in all the colours then I stamped 'For you' on a piece of Mint Macaron and die cut using the layering oval framelits, I matted this on top of Mint Macaron paper stack. I then stamped and punched three flowers using the Petite Petals stamp set and punch, sadly these will also be retiring at the end of May.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you like this weeks card.

Happy Easter

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Happy Easter everyone.

Last month I took part in a Crafty Challenge to make an Easter Card, this is what I came up with.

Touches of texture stamp set, So Saffron ink and cardstock

I was rather pleased how it came out so I made another one! Never mind about the card though what do you think of my elephants? I've been looking for something to use as a prop for my photos for a while now, I found these in my local charity shop and I think they look brilliant. There are three altogether and they nestle together, aren't they cute?

Egg-stra Awesome Easter Wishes, Easter Card

Here's a close up of the flowers and sentiment, I used my Wink of Stella pen on both although you can't really see it in the photo.

I also decorated the inside of the card which you can just about see on this next photo.

It was Mother's Day in the UK on 26th March and this is the card I made for my lovely Mother in Law.

Mother's Day Card, Rich Razzleberry, Large letters framelits

I do like shaker cards and I think it looks brilliant using the Large Letters framelits, I added some texture to the card using the Lucky Stars embossing folder.
