Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

This month we are having another colour challenge, this time set by the lovely Sam Roberts.

I decided to make this card showcasing these beautiful cheerful colours.

Colour Challenge, Melon Mambo, Peekaboo Peach, Lemon Lime Twist

I used Whisper White for my base and then dry embossed a layer of Whisper White with the new Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a piece of the new Lemon Lime Twist 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon.

I then stamped the smallest Orchid from the Climbing Orchid stamp set in all three colours on Whisper White cardstock. I adhered the squares to a piece of cardstock in the matching colour.

Isn't the detail on the dry embossing stunning, here's a close up.

Pootlers RAK Group

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Last month I joined the Pootler RAK group. RAK standing for Random Act of Kindness. The idea is you send as many cards as you like to other people in the group. It is so nice to receive beautiful handmade cards.

This is the card I made, I made two of them. One I sent to Fiona Whitehead as she is organising the group and the second to Christine Bettany who is lovely and always so helpful to everyone.

Random Act of Kindness (RAK) card, This little Piggy, Says thanks, Lemon Lime Twist, Playful backgrounds

I love this piggy, I can see me using him so much.

I was lucky enough to receive three cards.

The first from Sally Shaw of Sally Stampers, Thanks Sally I love it.

The second card I received was from Christine Bettany of Christines Crafting. Thanks Christine I love it.

The third card I received was from Samantha Bretherick. Thanks Samantha I love it.

I now need to start thinking about what I can make for the July swap.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.

Crafty Cupcakes Blog Hop July 2017

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for July 2017. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting Jillian Selwood of Purple Jelly Designs based in the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Annual Catalogue Favourites and I've chosen to use the Beautiful Bouquet and Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies.

This is the card I have created with this fabulous set.

Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies

I started off with a card base of Powder Pink, one of the new In Colours for 2017-19. I then embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the new Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (DTIEF), I decided to use the debossed side as I thought it gave more depth. I then layered a piece of  Emerald Envy cardstock and Melon Mambo cardstock at a jaunty angle, this is really not my style at all but I really like the way it looks. I then die cut the stems and leaves in Emerald Envy and die cut three lots of flowers in Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Powder Pink, I wasn't sure which colour to use but when I placed them next to each other I quite liked the effect of different shades of pink. I also die cut the bow using Powder Pink.

Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo

To finish off I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and the bow, pearls in the centre of all the flowers and the bow and two large pearls on each of the card layers. I decided not to stamp a sentiment on the front of the card as I just liked the simplicity of it. Before I sent it to someone I will stamp a sentiment on the inside.

Iron Man Competition

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

My lovely friend, Nicola, is taking part in her first Iron Man competition tomorrow (I'm sure she will say it is her first and last!)

It is a rather gruelling competition; consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile run, raced in that order and without a break. So I thought I would make her a card to wish her luck.

Cucumber Crush, Pool Party, Marina Mist, Soft sky

It's a basic Z fold card which is perfect for this type of card, well I think so anyway.

Z fold card, Good luck Card, Ironman 17 competition

Best of luck Nicola, I know you will be brilliant.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.

Card Swap June

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

The Theme for the June Card Swap  was Mr & Mrs. This is the card I designed

Bloomin' Love thinlet dies, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Flourishing Phrases stamp set

I just love the simplicity of it, isn't it beautiful?

Pool Party, Whisper White, Marriage is a journey, good thing you get to bring your best friend along

I appear to have forgotten to take a photo of the inside, which reads, 'good thing you get to bring your best friend along'. How lovely is that

This is the card I received from Nicole Neubert, I absolutely love it, it's so vibrant and colourful.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.
