Stampin' Up! Concertina Thank You Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Fancy Fold Concertina Thank You card

I recently needed to make a very special Thank you card and fortunately I remembered watching Jill Chapman of PaperDaisyCrafting make a beautiful Congratulations card on You Tube. You can find the link here

It was a little difficult to photograph as it was so long, I had to stand on some ladders with the card on the floor to fit it all in!! Here it is scrunched up a bit.

Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Thank you Card

So I wanted something every cheerful and bright so decided to use Night of Navy, Real Red and Daffodil Delight cardstock.

This is what it looks like folded up, I  used the Night of Navy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to secure it.

The recipients were absolutely delighted with it so massive thanks to Jill for the brilliant tutorial.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.

Stampin' Up! Lift me Up Fancy fold Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

The Theme for the Great Card Swap challenge in September was Up, Up and away.

I love the Lift me up Stamp set and the Up and away Thinlet dies, so this was a perfect excuse to use them. I also used the now retired DSP which co-ordinates perfectly with the stamps and dies.

My swap partner this month was in Germany so the sentiment 'Sending Smiles across the miles' seemed very appropriate.

Stampin' Up! Colourful Seasons Masculine Gift card wallet

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

The lovely Dee Copus-Read of  LadyDeeCrafts designed our sketch this month. She also requested that it should be a masculine gift card wallet. What a great challenge Dee, thanks very much. Here's the sketch we had to work from:

Masculine cards are always so difficult to make and given a choice I would always opt to make a feminine card. I knew I wanted to use Blues for my card and ended up going with Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Marina Mist with some Very Vanilla for the sentiment and on the inside.

I decided to use the 'skeleton' leaf stamp from The Colourful Seasons Stamp Set and stamped all over the Pacific Point layer with Night of Navy ink and in the centre of the card using Pacific Point ink. I then used the same stamp on the Marina Mist card using Pacific Point ink.

The sentiment comes from the Guy Greetings Stamp Set and I stamped that in Night of Navy. It looked a little bare so I stamped the leaf stamp in Marina Mist Ink, stamped off once.

I cut my Night of Navy cardstock to 6" x 10" and scored on the long side at 4" and 8". The extra 2" formed my pocket. Here's what the card looks like inside.

I stamped the leaves again on the Very Vanilla cardstock with the Happy Birthday Sentiment leaving plenty of space to write a message.

To finish off I used a piece of Marina Mist which was stamped with the Leaf Stamp. I used Tear and Tape to adhere the sides of the flap to the card.

It is also deep enough to put some money in it as well.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you like this weeks card.

I've been watching Jan Brown's You Tube tutorials again, I love these post it note holders, wouldn't they look fabulous on any desk? Click here to watch Jan's tutorial.

As with all 3D projects I can't just make one! I bought a pack of 8 post it notes so decided to use them all. I'm very pleased with how they have turned out. They looked fabulous on my stall last month and I have a some left over for my next craft fair.
