Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Lots of Lavender Thank you card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to the second Pootlers Blog Hop of 2018. Today we are showcasing the fabulous Sale-A-Bration products. Spend £45 and you get to choose from so many wonderful free products.

Sale-A-Bration 2018, Organza Ribbon, Layering Oval Framelits

I love Lavender so when I saw this stamp set I knew I had to order it. For me the only colour it could be was Wisteria Wonder, in real life it is slightly lighter than the photo is showing. Wisteria Wonder is one of my favourite SU Colours and I love how it looks against a white card base.

Lots of Lavender thank you card, Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive

I used Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers to colour in the image. Then I used the small triangle stamp from the Picutre Perfect Birthday stamp set, stamped off once to create a background. I cut the image using the layer oval framelits and sponged the edges with Wisteria Wonder. The ribbon is the brand new White Organza ribbon.

You can never have too many thank you cards and I just love this Thank you sentiment from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set, I heat embossed this using white embossing powder.

Stampin' Up! Colourful Seasons Masculine Gift card wallet

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

The lovely Dee Copus-Read of  LadyDeeCrafts designed our sketch this month. She also requested that it should be a masculine gift card wallet. What a great challenge Dee, thanks very much. Here's the sketch we had to work from:

Masculine cards are always so difficult to make and given a choice I would always opt to make a feminine card. I knew I wanted to use Blues for my card and ended up going with Night of Navy, Pacific Point and Marina Mist with some Very Vanilla for the sentiment and on the inside.

I decided to use the 'skeleton' leaf stamp from The Colourful Seasons Stamp Set and stamped all over the Pacific Point layer with Night of Navy ink and in the centre of the card using Pacific Point ink. I then used the same stamp on the Marina Mist card using Pacific Point ink.

The sentiment comes from the Guy Greetings Stamp Set and I stamped that in Night of Navy. It looked a little bare so I stamped the leaf stamp in Marina Mist Ink, stamped off once.

I cut my Night of Navy cardstock to 6" x 10" and scored on the long side at 4" and 8". The extra 2" formed my pocket. Here's what the card looks like inside.

I stamped the leaves again on the Very Vanilla cardstock with the Happy Birthday Sentiment leaving plenty of space to write a message.

To finish off I used a piece of Marina Mist which was stamped with the Leaf Stamp. I used Tear and Tape to adhere the sides of the flap to the card.

It is also deep enough to put some money in it as well.

The lovely Heidi Smith designed our sketch this month and here it is:

Last April was the first time I had taken part in this blog hop and I used the retiring In Colours 2014 - 2016 for my card so I decided I would do exactly the same with this card using the retiring In Colours from 2015 - 2017, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder.

Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, 2015-2017 In Colours

I used the In Colour paper stack in all the colours then I stamped 'For you' on a piece of Mint Macaron and die cut using the layering oval framelits, I matted this on top of Mint Macaron paper stack. I then stamped and punched three flowers using the Petite Petals stamp set and punch, sadly these will also be retiring at the end of May.

Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge November

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*.  Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

This is the sketch which was designed by the lovely Anna Krol.

What a great sketch it is. I decided to use one of the cats from the Pretty Kitty stamp set. All these cats are so pretty.  One of the things I like about making cards is the fact that you can send a card to someone for no reason at all, 'just because' you can!

When I saw the sentiment on the Vertical Greeting stamp set I just knew I had to buy the set and it was just perfect for this card.

Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Pretty Kitty, Vertical Greetings

I used a base of Pacific Point which is a beautiful vibrant blue. Whisper White layer on top with three pieces of cardstock in Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Pacific Point. I adhered the two vertical strips to the card and then decided that the darker one needed something to lift it - I just about managed to stamp the stars on it without getting ink everywhere!

I'm really pleased with how the card has turned out. Thanks Anna a brilliant sketch.
