The lovely Sam Charlton designed our sketch this month and here it is:

As soon as I saw it I loved it, what a brilliant sketch so thanks so much Sam.

Here is my take and I'm rather pleased with it.

Blooms and Wishes DSP, Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock

I used our thick Whisper White as a base and then used some of the Blooms and Wishes DSP (Designer Series Paper) as a mat. I cut out the circles using the new stitched framelits in Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride. I used a smaller circle and Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment.

Thank you card using Stampin' Up! supplies

The darker stripes are from the same DSP pack and the flower and leaf are from the Flourish Thinlet dies.

Flourish Thinlet Die, One big meaning stamp set

I used a thank you from the One big meaning stamp set, this sentiment fits perfectly in the smallest circle die and was finished off with some basic rhinestones. You can just see the Wink of Stella I painted on the outside edge, no idea why it doesn't show up on camera as in real life it is so sparkly.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you like this weeks card.

Card Swap January

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

The card swap theme for January was a thank you card.

This is the card I made for Justyna.

Watermelon Wonder Cardstock, White Embossing powder, Delicate Details Stamp Set, So Very much Stamp Set

Regular readers of my blog may recognise the design as it is similar to one I made for the Blog Hop I took part in recently. This is made in Watermelon Wonder which is a lovely pinky / peachy colour, one of the colours from the 15-17 In Colours.

This is the card I received from Jane Carroll. I love it.

New Baby cards

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

So Saffron cardstock, Blushing Bride cardstock, Soft Sky cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock

I've always loved sending baby cards and now it's even more special when I get to make the cards myself.

I was having a play with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and matching punch and decided to make a baby card or four! I started with the two obvious colours, blue and pink then decided to make two more, one in yellow and the other in beige. I love the sentiment - 'Peek-a-boo to someone new'. I've also used the new Delicate details stamp set to decorate to top and bottom of the card.

Here's a closer look at them.

Pootlers Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop January 2017

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to our second blog hop of 2017. This time we are celebrating the fabulous Sale-A-Bration catalogue. For every £45 you spend in January - March you get to choose a free gift, how amazing is that?

Sale-A-Bration 2017, So very much stamp set, Delicate Details stamp set

For this card I have used two different stamp sets; So very much and Delicate Details, both of which are free stamp sets.

I do like clean and simple cards. I think sometimes less is definitely more and you can't get more clean and simple than this card, can you?

Bermuda Bay cardstock, white embossing powder, Sale-A-Bration

I started off with a base of thick Whisper White and then on Bermuda Bay cardstock I used Versamark ink and white embossing powder to stamp the lace edges, the large Thank you and smaller so very much.

I absolutely the detail on the lacy edge, it's absolutely gorgeous.

Card Swap November 2016

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Stampin' Up! Butterfly thinlets, Basic Grey cardstock, Elegant Butterfly punch

The theme for the November card swap was Butterflies and Rainbows. I had no idea how I was going to stick to this theme until I saw this brilliant technique from Jennifer McGuire. I think this is the third month in a row I've used this technique, yes it is quite addictive!  Unfortunately as most people were really busy in November we decided to not to go ahead with the swap, which was good news for me as it meant I got to keep mine.

Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquiose, Marina Mist, Cucumber Crush, Daffodil Delights, Tangerine Tango cardstock

I could have adhered the large butterfly on top of the grey cardstock but I decided to do it the hard way so the butterfly was actually flush with the grey cardstock. It took ages putting all the little grey pieces into the butterfly wings, so glad I did though as I think it looks stunning. I finished it off with my wink of Stella pen to give it some sparkle.

Rainbow colours, butterflies

I did have three rhinestones on both of the small butterflies I have only just noticed that one has fallen off the left hand one.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Don't forget if you don't want to miss any of my blog posts you can subscribe using the button on the right.

Until next week.

Pootlers Spring Summer catalogue Blog hop January 2017

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to another Pootlers Blog Hop, this time we are celebrating the new Spring / Summer 2017 Catalogue which went live last week.

Beautiful You stamp set, Tip Top Taupe 15-17 In Colours

The Beautiful You stamp set has got to be my absolute favourite out of the new Spring and Summer Stampin' Up! catalogue. I was lucky enough to win it on the Prize Patrol at On Stage in Telford. When I first saw it I have to admit I was a little underwhelmed but as soon as I got home and started using it I fell in love.

I've made quite a few variations using the different ladies but I think this is my favourite. I have used Tip Top Taupe which is one of my favourite colours from the 15-17 In Colours. With the sponged edges it looks sepia and I just love that effect.

For the dress and hat I stamped on a piece of Tip Top Taupe Colour stack DSP and then fussy cut, not something I usually do but I think it was worth the effort.

Enamel shapes, 15-17 Colour stack DSP, Beautiful You Stamp set

I ended up making five different colourways although I think this is my favourite.

Here it is in Mint Macaron

Mint Macaron Cardstock, Happy Birthday Gorgeous

This blog hop is slightly different to our normal ones, just click on a names below to be taken to that blog. Happy hopping.

Card Swap October

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

A very Happy New Year to you all. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, let's hope that 2017 is a great year for us all.

I'm a little bit behind showing you the Card Swap cards.  The Theme for October was Fluffy, frilly and pink. A difficult card for me as I've never been a fluffy, frilly or pink girl!

Anyway here's my attempt

Melon Mambo, Hearts, Butterflies, Love, Pink, fluffy and frilly card

I watched a You Tube Tutorial by Jennifer McGuire, she used different coloured strips of cardstock to make a card base, I just love the effect and the possibilities are endless.

Sunshine wishes framelits, Happy heart embossing folder, Melon Mambo Cardstock

Melon Mambo Cardstock, Melon Mambo ribbon, Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Pink Pirouette Cardstock

The card I received from Karen Kilner is here and is absolutely beautiful. I love how she has heat embossed the leaves and heart with clear embossing powder it look stunning in real life although very difficult to photograph.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.
