The lovely Sam Charlton designed our sketch this month and here it is:

As soon as I saw it I loved it, what a brilliant sketch so thanks so much Sam.

Here is my take and I'm rather pleased with it.

Blooms and Wishes DSP, Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock

I used our thick Whisper White as a base and then used some of the Blooms and Wishes DSP (Designer Series Paper) as a mat. I cut out the circles using the new stitched framelits in Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum and Blushing Bride. I used a smaller circle and Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment.

Thank you card using Stampin' Up! supplies

The darker stripes are from the same DSP pack and the flower and leaf are from the Flourish Thinlet dies.

Flourish Thinlet Die, One big meaning stamp set

I used a thank you from the One big meaning stamp set, this sentiment fits perfectly in the smallest circle die and was finished off with some basic rhinestones. You can just see the Wink of Stella I painted on the outside edge, no idea why it doesn't show up on camera as in real life it is so sparkly.

New Baby cards

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

So Saffron cardstock, Blushing Bride cardstock, Soft Sky cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock

I've always loved sending baby cards and now it's even more special when I get to make the cards myself.

I was having a play with the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and matching punch and decided to make a baby card or four! I started with the two obvious colours, blue and pink then decided to make two more, one in yellow and the other in beige. I love the sentiment - 'Peek-a-boo to someone new'. I've also used the new Delicate details stamp set to decorate to top and bottom of the card.

Here's a closer look at them.

Card Swap October

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

A very Happy New Year to you all. I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas, let's hope that 2017 is a great year for us all.

I'm a little bit behind showing you the Card Swap cards.  The Theme for October was Fluffy, frilly and pink. A difficult card for me as I've never been a fluffy, frilly or pink girl!

Anyway here's my attempt

Melon Mambo, Hearts, Butterflies, Love, Pink, fluffy and frilly card

I watched a You Tube Tutorial by Jennifer McGuire, she used different coloured strips of cardstock to make a card base, I just love the effect and the possibilities are endless.

The card I received from Karen Kilner is here and is absolutely beautiful. I love how she has heat embossed the leaves and heart with clear embossing powder it look stunning in real life although very difficult to photograph.

Thank you for stopping by this week and reading my blog, I do hope you’ve enjoyed it. Until next week.

Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge December

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

The lovely Amanda Charlesworth designed our sketch this month and here it is:

My first thought when I saw the sketch was Oh My God what on earth am I doing to make. Then I had an idea, which didn't work so I tried something else, which also didn't work. At that point I was getting to close to giving in. Not one to be defeated I then started to look through my box of die cuts and punched shapes to see if anything would work and I came up with this design.

Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Swirly Scribbles Thinlet Dies

I started off with a card base of Blushing Bride and cut a small piece of Melon Mambo with the wavy lines die from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlet dies to cut the wave. When I put it on the card I thought it looked a little plain so I ran it through the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (that's a bit of a mouthful). Then I added some of my favourite flowers and leaves from the Botanical Builder framelits. The happy birthday sentiment came from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.
