Powder Pink, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, 2-17-2019 In-Colours

I wanted to gift some of my homemade biscuits and decided it would be nice to put them in a box instead of a cellophane bag. I'm still in love with these twist top boxes so that's what I've made.

Powder Pink Twist Top Box, Fresh Florals DSP

I used three of the 2017 - 2019 In-Colours, Powder Pink, Fresh Fig and Lemon Lime Twist and I decorated them with the Fresh Florals DSP. The sentiment comes from the Just add Text Stamp Set and I used the Stampin' Up! White Embossing Powder, although I do think it looks better on the Fresh Fig box as it stands out a bit more.

The boxes are huge so I will be able to fit a lot of biscuits in them, I hope the recipients are hungry!!

This month our theme is Fancy Fold Cards.

#craftycupcakesbloghop, Fancy Fold card, Book fold card

I absolutely love making fancy fold card. They are usually so easy but look like they have taken you hours. A couple of years ago Lea Denton of The Crafty Spark sent me a book fold card. I loved it and have wanted to make one ever since, just not got round to doing until now.

Sweet Soiree SDSP, Marina Mist, Powder Pink

When I started to make this card I hadn't really got a plan in mind, apart from the book fold inside. So I sat down with my DSP's and looked for inspiration. I decided on the Sweet Soiree Speciality Designer Series Paper. Then I choose two coordinating cardstock colours, Marina Mist and Powder Pink. I used the card Lea sent me to get the measurements for the cutting and scoring lines for the book fold part of the card.

Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set for a Fancy Fold card

I used the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set for the sentiment on the front and both sentiments inside the card. I really like the fonts and I thought the sentiment 'Today we celebrate wonderful brilliant fabulous you!' was perfect for a special birthday card. Not sure if you can see on the photos but I dipped the edges of the Whisper White cardstock in my Versamark and heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

Today we celebrate wonderful brilliant fabulous you! Birthday card

Stampin' Up! This Little Piggy OnStage Swaps

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

In Colour 17-19 Swaps for OnStage Nov 17, She believed she could....so she did

This time last week I was in Birmingham at the Stampin' Up! OnStage convention. This is a twice yearly event. It's great to meet up with all my crafting friends, and create with them.

OnStage Nov 2017 Swaps, This Little Piggy Stamp Set

It is a tradition of Stampin' Up! that at all their events you make swaps which you hand out to other crafters and they give you one of their swaps. It's a fabulous way to get lots of inspiration as everyone seems to see different things in the stamp sets and dies.

Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, Tranquil Tide

These are the cards I made. I used the five new In Colours for 2017-2019. Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. I also used the This Little Piggy Stamp set and the Playful Backgrounds stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Cookie Cutter Christmas New Baby Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

I have recently made two New Baby cards for a client of mine. They were both personalised with the name of the baby, date of birth and weight and height. I used the Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp set and matching punch, I just love being able to use a Christmas stamp set all the year round.

Cookie Cutter Christmas New Baby Card

I also used the Falling Petals Embossing folder as I think it looks like hearts falling down the page rather than leaves. I stamped the envelope on the flap with a Teddy Bear and sponged the edges of the envelope too.

This is the inside of the card.

Stampin' Up! Falling Flowers Stepper Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Happy Birthday Thinlet Die, Colour Theory DSP Stack

In August I took part in the Crafty Cupcakes Stampin' Showcase Challenge. The theme was Birthdays and I decided to make a stepper card. I cased this card from Mixed up Craft and you can see her YouTube video here.

I love the fact that the front is so simple and it is only when you open up the card that you see the surprise - are you ready for the big reveal!

The side view is even more stunning.

Stampin' Up! Colorful Seasons Easel Card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

I'm so disappointed that it's the final week of August as that means it is also my final week on the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team, I've thoroughly enjoyed myself and would like to thank Lea for the opportunity.  I am on the Design Team with Emma Hudson of Little Crafty Me, you can visit Emma's blog here. We have been given the Colourful Seasons Stamp Set to work with. It also comes with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and you can save 10% if you buy the bundle.

This week was a difficult one, as there are only four seasons and I've already done Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter what on earth was I going to do for this week? So I decided to take part of each of the four cards I have already made and put them onto an Easel card.

Colourful Season Stamp Set, Easel card, All 4 seasons in one card

I die cut cardstock in Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Pool Party using the Stitched Shaped Framelit dies then die cut a scalloped square in Gold foil for the Summer and Autumn colours and Silver foil for the Spring and Winter colours.

Powder Pink, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pool Party, Gold Foil, Silver Foil

I also die cut the flowers, chair, leaf and snowflake in Gold and Silver foil.

Then I had to decide which sentiment to choose and not only that what colour to stamp it in. So I decided on 'Just breathe' as that is my favourite and I used both gold and silver Heat Embossing powder, I was quite pleased how it turned out.

Just breathe, Gold and Silver embossing powder

I think I might trying that again. I also layered the sentiment on Gold and Silver foil which is cut on an angle.

Here is the card in all it's glory. I'm not sure I would have chosen all these colours together but I actually think it works. What do you think?

Stampin' Up! Graceful Garden card

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you.  The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. Simply use the buttons at the bottom of the post to keep hopping!

This month I was my turn to design the sketch and this is what I came up with - I do like clean and simple cards and you can't get more clean and simple than this!

I started off with a Card base of Powder Pink and stamped a layer of Whisper White with the background stamp from Graceful Garden. I cut three squares with the Stitched Shapes framelits dies of differing sizes and scalloped  squares from Powder Pink cardstock.

Graceful Garden stamp set, Powder Pink, For you, card

I used the large rose from the Graceful Garden stamp set for the largest square, the smaller rose for the medium sized square and then the sentiment 'for you' for the smallest square.

Stitched Shaped Framelits, Layering Squares Framelits

I then decided to add some ribbon, the 1/2" Finely woven ribbon in Powder pink worked perfectly. When I lined all the squares up I didn't really like how it looked so I adhered the white stitched squares at an angle. I also adhered the smallest square at an angle as well.

I'm really pleased with how this has turned out and can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with.

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope you like this weeks card.

Crafty Cupcakes Design Team August 2017 Week 1

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

I am delighted to have been invited to take part in the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team for the month of August along with Emma Hudson of Little Crafty Me, you can visit Emma's blog here. We have been given the Colourful Seasons Stamp Set to work with. It also comes with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and you can save 10% if you buy the bundle.

For week one I have made a 3D project using the beautiful Window Box Thinlet Dies. I fell in love with this box immediately I saw it last year at OnStage.

Window Box Thinlet Dies, Seasonal Layers Framelits Thinlits Dies

I made the box using Powder Pink cardstock and distressed the edges with Blushing Bride ink. I then stamped three different flowers in Blushing Bride ink on Powder Pink cardstock before die cutting. I also die cut the branches out of Soft Suede cardstock. I cut a smaller hexagon for the top which I stamped with the sentiment 'Life is a beautiful thing'.

I decided to adhere the branch directly onto the box sides but adhered the flowers and top with Stampin' Dimensions to give some height. I finished off with medium pearls in the centre of the die cut flowers and large pearls on the top and a generous brush with my Wink of Stella pen on all the flowers.

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out and I think it would make a perfect Wedding favour box filled with chocolates. I hope you like it too.

Crafty Cupcakes Blog Hop July 2017

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for July 2017. You are currently visiting Jillian Selwood of Purple Jelly Designs based in the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Annual Catalogue Favourites and I've chosen to use the Beautiful Bouquet and Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies.

This is the card I have created with this fabulous set.

Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, Bouquet Bunch Framelits Dies

I started off with a card base of Powder Pink, one of the new In Colours for 2017-19. I then embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the new Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (DTIEF), I decided to use the debossed side as I thought it gave more depth. I then layered a piece of  Emerald Envy cardstock and Melon Mambo cardstock at a jaunty angle, this is really not my style at all but I really like the way it looks. I then die cut the stems and leaves in Emerald Envy and die cut three lots of flowers in Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Powder Pink, I wasn't sure which colour to use but when I placed them next to each other I quite liked the effect of different shades of pink. I also die cut the bow using Powder Pink.

Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo

To finish off I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers and the bow, pearls in the centre of all the flowers and the bow and two large pearls on each of the card layers. I decided not to stamp a sentiment on the front of the card as I just liked the simplicity of it. Before I sent it to someone I will stamp a sentiment on the inside.

Pootlers Annual Catalogue Blog Hop June 2017

Jillian Selwood, Purple Jelly Designs, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Welcome to our third Blog Hop of 2017. This time we are celebrating the brand new Annual Catalogue that launched on 1st June.

I absolutely love pigs, I think they are beautiful animals so when I first saw the This Little Piggy Stamp set I wanted it. It's made a perfect thank you card for a special friend.

Thank you card, This little Piggy stamp set, 17-19 In Colours

I used one of the new 2017-2019 In Colours, Berry Burst for the card which is topped with the ombre Berry Burst Colour Theory DSP Stack. I stamped the 'This little Piggy' piggy and the 'Says Thanks' onto Whisper White card and then die cut them using the Stitched Shapes framelits. I coloured the piggy with Powder Pink and the grass with Tranquil Tide, these are also new colours. I also gave the piggy a bit of a shine with some Wink of Stella.

This little Piggy Stamp set, This little Piggy says Thank you, Stitched Shaped Framelits

I used some Berry Burst ribbon under the piggy and then adhered the piggy and sentiment on the front of the card with stampin' Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card I stamped just the body of the piggy and coloured him in the same way.

Berry Burst, This Little Piggy, Thank you card, Tranquil Tide

I hope my friend likes the card although I suspect she will prefer the homemade biscuits which I sent her as well!
